Carolina Boys Portable Storage takes all precautions and steps during the moving and storage process to ensure the safety of your belongings. However, no matter how carefully your container is packed and moved, some things – such as weather and road conditions – are out of our control. We strongly recommend our customers obtain storage insurance to cover your belongings in case of these unforeseen circumstances.

Why do I need coverage?

Many people assume their homeowner’s insurance policy will cover their belongings during a move using portable storage. However, this is usually not the case.

Which types of losses or events are covered by Carolina Boys Portable Storage?

Carolina Boys Portable Storage makes every possible attempt to protect your belongings. Carolina Boys Portable Storage will not be responsible for items lost or damaged due to theft, vandalism, civil disturbances, fire, smoke, water, mold, mildew, rodents, hurricanes, rain, rising water, flooding, tornadoes, explosions, earthquakes, mice & rodents, wind damage, dust termites and other insects, acts of God, or other casualty occurring during loading, transport or storage. To ensure that your belongings are covered during your move we strongly recommend that you obtain storage insurance.

Purchasing contents protection insurance

Carolina Boys Portable Storage recently teamed up with Storage Protectors to provide an insurance solution for our customers. Insurance coverage for your container can be added when you schedule the delivery of your container.

Documenting and reporting damage

Please visit www.storageprotectors.com and click on the green button that says File A Claim. Once your form is filled out, you will be contacted by a Storage Protects Claims Adjuster within 24 hours.
