About Asheboro
Located in the Heart of North Carolina just outside of Greensboro, Asheboro was
named an All-American City by the National Civic League. It is the home of the North
Carolina Zoo, one of the largest attractions in the state. Enjoy face-to-face animal
encounters and surround yourself with elephants, rhinos, giraffes, polar bears, gorillas
and much more.
Along with the zoo, Asheboro boasts the largest private collection of Harley Davidson©
motorcycles in the country. The quaint downtown is home to an abundance of locally-owned restaurants and unique shops.
Visit Bicentennial Park for a beautiful green space that showcases a variety of concerts
and special events. If you are looking for more adventure, soar through the scenic
foothills of the Uwharrie Mountains while zip lining. Enjoy hiking or just relaxing and
taking photographs.
Check out the Historic Pisgah Covered Bridge, one of only two remaining covered
bridges in North Carolina.
It's impossible to experience all that Asheboro has to offer in just one visit, and that’s
why people are returning year after year while others have decided to call Asheboro
their permanent home.
